breast cancer memory run
The Germantown Municipal School District and the Department of Coordinated School Health are highlighting the importance of Breast Cancer Awareness Month by highlighting it for our Staff Wellness Challenge!
We are requesting that all GMSD staff members, students, and community members support this initiative by sharing stories of loved ones impacted by breast cancer and submitting their steps/miles for the entire month of October.
track your miles & steps
Help us reach our goal of earning enough miles and steps to travel across the mid-south. we'll add up the total number of miles earned each day, from all participants, to generate a new "destination". We'll start this virtual run challenge by beginning at the GMSD Central Office.
memory & dedication wall
Enter the name of those that have endured breast cancer and/or those that we want to remember that are no longer with us. We run in their honor and will honor their memory through this challenge!
Carol Corbett was an amazing mom, daughter, wife, and grandmother to her family. She battled breast cancer on and off for nearly 13 years. She left this world to be in Heaven on April 26, 2017, and no longer has to endure the challenges that come with chemo and cancer.
I will run in her memory to show the love and dedication that she showed to so many.
