About Bowler's Ed
The Bowler’s Ed In-School Bowling program is operated by the International Bowling Campus Youth Development Team. We are supported by the United States Bowling Congress (USBC) and the Bowling Proprietors’ Association of America (BPAA). Bowler’s Ed is a curriculum- and equipment-based physical education program designed to introduce students to the lifetime sport of bowling through an easy-to-follow, fun- and fitness-oriented lesson plan.
The FREE Bowler’s Ed curriculum adheres to common core educational standards, includes cross-curriculum activities for grades K-8 and offers a lifetime activity for students!
The Bowler’s Ed program accommodates students irrespective of gender, physical or natural ability. Children acquire skills toward the lifelong sport of bowling that builds strong bones, burns calories, promotes balance and coordination and develops sportsmanship. Teachers can have 5-6 students actively participating in the Bowler’s Ed activity at a time, so engaging the entire class is not an issue. The Bowler’s Ed curriculum has “activity stations” inserted into bowling activities to increase cross curriculum opportunities engaging the entire class in busy healthy, safe and educational activities.
