Lesson: Skeleton Building
Grade(s): 2-5
Skills: Team-work, Human Anatomy, Science Integration
Description: Students will work with their group to learn about the human Skelton by placing the skeleton pieces together as a giant puzzle piece. Students will have to put Skelton together 3 times and each time will gradually get harder. Students will have a giant outline to place pieces down first time, second attempt will allow students to use a picture of Skelton as a reference, and last time students will have to use their memory and teammates.

Lesson: Game Time
Grade(s): 3-5
Skills: Fitness, Hand-Eye Coordination, and Clock Reading
Description: Students will have to complete an exercise or PE challenge in order to earn right to select an answer choice from one of the hoops (hour hoop or minute hoop). Students are attempting to solve as many clocks as possible by locating correct answers.

Lesson: Let's Flip for It

Skills: Fitness, Movement Concepts, Adding, Money Values
Description: Students will be on either team Heads or Tails. Students must perform a movement (designated by teacher) around the activity area one time. Students will collect a penny from their team's bucket and face off against someone from opposing team in middle at a hula hoop. Students will flip coin and take back any coins they earn (lands on their team's side). Repeat process until end of game and team with most coins wins.

Description: Students will use their imaginations to travel throughout time to various parts of the world to learn about major historical events and re-enact things from that time of the world. We will use a pool noodle to pretend it's various tools (time machine, javelin, spear, golf club, sword, guitar, etc). Students will have a blast as we travel throughout the past, present, and future!

Skills: Throwing/Catching, Teamwork, and mathematics (adding money, trading funds).
Description: Students will be separated into a blue or green team. Teams will be assigned a banker (only 1 student per team). Students can switch out at anytime being a thrower or catcher. Throwers must throw a ball towards someone on their team and have them catch it in the bucker. After catcher gets a ball in bucket, they must recruit a teammate to complete a cooperative challenges (challenges vary from $1-$5 challenges). Students turn money into their bucket after done. Banker swaps out small bills for bigger bills (to teacher) at various times during game.

Equipment: 25-30 cones (signs), 3-4 basketballs, math cards (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division)
Description: Students will be separated into 3-4 teams. Students select a math card from their team's pile and answer the problem. After answering the problem, students will dribble the basketball to find the cone that has the corresponding answer (number) on it. After a team completes all the math problems they win the game.

Grades: K-5
Equipment: 30 cones, NBA Logo Signs, NBA tickets, 2 basketballs, bags for tickets, and a map of USA.
Description: Students will be separated into 2 equal teams that will start and finish in a relay formation. Students will have to have a basic familiarity with the skill of basketball dribbling before playing this game. Students will grab a ticket from their teams bag and see which NBA team is represented on the ticket. Students must dribble out into the activity area to locate the cone that has that NBA team on it. Once located the student taps the top of the cone, dribbles back to the next person in line and drops off the completed ticket in the designated bag. If students are unfamiliar with the NBA team and where it is located in relation to the USA they can look at a map to see what part of the country that team is on. The cones are spread out based on where that team is located at in the country. Cones on the left hand side of playing area would be west coast teams (LA Lakers, Portland Trailblazers, etc) and cones on right hand side would be east coast teams (Washington Wizards, Miami Heat, etc).

Assessment: Teacher will assess through teacher observation and answering handout questions at closure of lesson

Skills: Cardiovascular endurance, interval training, mathematics, and teamwork
Equipment: 8 Cones, Music (optional), different colored jerseys (optional), Pedometers
Description: Have to tracks set up in the shape of an oval (track). Have students run in a clock wise direction on the outside of the cones and walk counter clockwise on the inside of the cones. Students will be in groups of 2. First partner will wear a pedometer and run for 3 minutes around running track while music is playing. When the music stops, the students will switch places and the pedometer. Complete this rotation every 3 minutes.

Skills: Cardiovascular Fitness, Muscular Endurance, Science (Physiology), and mathematics (adding).
Description: Students will complete the "oxygen cycle" by first pairing up with a partner. One partner will practice yoga stretches and light exercises while the other partner completes the "oxygen cycle". First stop, the Lungs where students will take 3 deep breathes and pick up one beanbag (red blood cell). Second, students will complete 2 laps around the track before heading to the heart. At the heart, students will complete 10 jumping jacks, 10 invisible speed ropes, and whole body contraction. Next, students will complete 2 laps around track before going to the muscles. At the muscles, students complete 10 push-ups followed by dropping the red blood cell off at the bin.

Description: Students will be separated into teams. To start the game, a math problem will be given to the first person in line (Ex: 1+4=) and students will run through the fitness challenges to get to their team's calculator on start signal (music). Students must compute the math problem by stepping on the "ON" button, followed by the math problem (1+4), followed by the "=" sign and finally stepping to top of calculator to shout out the answer. First person to do this correctly earns a point for their team.
